Jaxson Dart addresses Giants teammates after Trump appearance
New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart reportedly addressed his teammates after he introduced Donald Trump at a rally in New York.
The move caused a rift between him and teammate Abdul Carter, who asked what Dart was doing.
Carter said the pair did make up, but apparently that wasn't good enough.
"#Giants QB Jaxson Dart addressed teammates in a meeting yesterday to discuss his introduction of President Trump last week, sources tell me and @RapSheet.
Other team leaders spoke up as well, and Dart and the players worked through it. They are moving forward."
This also comes on the heels of internet sleuths finding Dart's Instagram account liking several of Trump's policies, like mass deportation, anti-LGBTQ rhetoric, and attacks on "racial" curriculum in schools
According to ESPN, the team leaders who spoke during the meeting included Brian Burns and Jameis Winston.
The source said some of the topics discussed included keeping things "internal" and not airing frustrations publicly, as Carter did with Dart, which led to a lot of online conversations.
Both players came under heavy criticism from the media and fans alike, everyone seemingly taking sides in this matter.
But it appears that now the team and Dart want to move on from this incident.
