Wet weather ahead, Georgia. Here’s how much rain to expect in the Macon area this weekend

Get your umbrellas, rain boots and jackets ready, Macon.

Rain is coming our way this weekend.

Here’s the forecast, the timing and if it will send cooler weather our way.

When is the rain coming?

The National Weather Service reported that the rain will come Friday and stay through the weekend.

According to Accuweather, the timing of the showers will begin Friday afternoon around 2 p.m. The rain will last on and off throughout the night.

On Saturday, the rain will persist throughout most of the day with a 75% chance of rain overall.

And on Sunday, there is an 85% chance of rain with breezy conditions.

How much rain will we get?

According to the National Weather Service, “Rain totals over an inch are possible along and south of Interstate 20.”

Will it bring cooler temperatures?

Although we have experienced warmer temperatures this week, the rain will introduce some cooler temperatures this weekend.

According to Accuweather, the high for Saturday is 60 degrees with a low of 51 and on Sunday, the high will only reach around 56 degrees.
