How hot will it get in the South this summer? Here’s the Farmers’ Almanac forecast

Be ready for a heat wave.

Summer 2023 in the South is going to be fiery hot with sweltering temperatures, according to Farmers’ Almanac.

The Almanac’s summer forecast is looking intense: “The heat will seem unrelenting for some areas, persisting from late June through early September. Temperatures will, at times, soar into the 90s, perhaps even topping 100°F.”

Summer storms are also on the horizon in the South this summer.

The Farmers’ Almanac predicts “hot and humid conditions” in the southeast regions, complete with plenty of thunderstorms. The Almanac has labeled the southeast region, including Mississippi and Georgia, as “oppressive, showery, thundery” for summer 2023.

So, keep your rain boots and umbrellas handy.
