Will GA have above normal heat in August like in July? Here’s what to expect, forecasts show
July in Georgia is typically scorching hot and this year has been no exception to that pattern.
However, with August slowly approaching, many of us are wondering if things will continue to heat up or if we will see some cool down while in the school pick-up lines.
Here’s what to know:
Will August be hotter or cooler than July in GA?
According to the National Weather Service three month outlook (July, August and September), temperatures will continue to be “leaning above” normal in Georgia. The southern corners of the state are “likely above” in the temperature range, so get ready for more hot weather.
What do other experts say?
AccuWeather metrologists predict similar temperatures, but we may see a touch of cooler weather in August.
“The average high for August is 88° with an average low of 71,” according to the AccuWeather August monthly outlook.
Will there be rain and storms in August?
In short, yes. AccuWeather experts predict a normal summer-like rain and storm trend throughout August.
Specifically, storms are expected on Aug. 1 and 2, rain on the 10th and 11th, storms the 12th-14th and storms on the 20th.
