This is the best ice cream shop in GA for 2026 Tasting Table says. Here’s where to find it
It’s starting to heat up in Georgia and cool treats are the perfect way to cool off on a hot, sunny day.
Well, Tasting Table understood the assignment because the blog recently compiled a list of their picks for the best ice cream shop in each state.
“To construct this list, we turned to sites like Facebook, Reddit and Yelp to ensure that customer reviews were overwhelmingly positive for each shop. We also searched for shops that have previously earned recognition from local and national news agencies, as well as those that have earned awards from organizations like the James Beard Foundation,” said Sierra Winters, with Tasting Table.

Best ice cream shop in GA
According to Tasting Table, Morelli’s Gourmet Ice Cream is the best ice cream shop in Georgia.
In fact, this shop has “one of the best milkshakes in the country,” Winters said.
“This shop serves excellent scoops in flavors like banana cream pie and rosemary olive oil,” said Winters. But of course, you can’t go wrong with southern classic delicious flavors like butter pecan or Krispy Kreamier.
Morelli’s was featured on the Top 10 Places to Get Ice Cream in the US by Fox News and according to the shop’s website, Conan O’Brien even scooped and served ice cream at the shop for a day.
Morelli’s is located at 749 Moreland Avenue SE, Suite 102B in Atlanta.
