Walmart, Kohl’s, Target & more: Here’s where in GA to find the best Black Friday sales
Black Friday may look a lot different to the approximately 81.7 million Americans shopping in person this year who are struggling financially.
In fact, “money hugging” is becoming a strategy many Georgia consumers are adopting to make their money go farther. Feinstein Gerstley from Rakuten told NerdWallet, “It’s this idea that you want to spend in a more strategic way so that it goes farther,” so you can save money for essentials.
The personal finance website WalletHub helps consumers make smarter money decisions through credit-related studies and reports, and their Black Friday tips could help with the budget for the rest of the year.
Best places to find deals
WalletHub analyzed over 3,100 deals from 13 of the largest U.S. retailers’ and here’s a highlight of the stores offering the biggest discounts.
Top retailers and the average discounts:
- JCPenney: 74-76%
- Belk: over 57% (especially on jewelry)
- Kohl’s: major deals on clothing, electronics
- Macy’s: up to 58% average, huge discounts on jewelry
Items with the most and least value:
Savvy consumers understand that just because it says its on sale doesn’t mean they’re getting the best deal.
Around 41% of items may not be any cheaper than their normal price, but when discounts do hit, they can be substantial with up to 89% off in some cases.
