Lottery player wins $125,000 jackpot in Georgia. Where was ticket sold?
A Georgia lottery player tested their luck — and snagged a top prize.
A Royston resident hit the Fantasy 5 jackpot, winning $125,000 in the drawing Saturday, June 14, the Georgia Lottery said. The winning ticket, sold on the lottery’s website, matched all five numbers.
The winner hadn’t come forward as of Monday, June 16, a lottery spokesperson told McClatchy News in an email.
The Fantasy 5 numbers drawn Saturday were 6-14-24-30-36, results show.
The big win comes a day after another Fantasy 5 player won a $1.5 million jackpot on June 13, beating odds of 1 in 850,668 to snag the grand prize, according to the lottery’s website. That ticket was sold in Villa Rica.
Winners in Georgia have 180 days from the draw date to claim prizes and are encouraged to sign the back of their ticket, the Georgia Lottery’s website says.
Royston is about a 30-mile drive northeast from downtown Athens.
