A Georgia eatery was ranked among the best places to grab a cheeseburger, and fans can’t get enough.
Yelp reviewers insist the ones served at Holeman and Finch Public House in Atlanta are the best in the Peach State, according to a list published Sept. 1.
The restaurant, in the heart of Midtown’s Colony Square, joins 49 others said to have the top cheeseburgers in 2023. For the rankings, Yelp looked at restaurant reviews left between Jan. 1 and July 20, then ranked each food spot using multiple factors, “including the total volume and ratings of reviews mentioning ‘cheeseburger.’”
Holeman and Finch is a self-described “modern gastropub” but is perhaps best known for its H&F Burger. The entree features two beef patties topped with American cheese, shaved red onions and house-made pickles on a toasted bun, according to its website.
Inspired by a burger served at the 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair, the cheesy handheld debuted in 2008 as a special only available after 10 p.m.
On Yelp, one customer said it’s “a must get (item) every time you’re here.”
“They make their own mustard and ketchup too!” they wrote. “I love the crust from the patty and the BB pickles with the toasted bun.”
“This burger is probably the most delectable, culinary burger ever created,” another reviewer said. “My favorite thing about this burger is actually the onions. I think it is the ‘secret sauce’ for this burger and completes it.”
Holeman and Finch’s small plates, including the fried oysters and steak tartare, are among other popular menu items, according to the business’ Yelp page.
