A driver was killed when their car struck a concrete wall, rolled over and fell onto Interstate 75 where it was hit by an oncoming car, Georgia authorities say.

The two-car crash happened around 2:40 a.m. Sunday, March 19, on I-75 northbound in Atlanta, according to the city’s police department.

Officers were called to a wreck with “possible entrapment” and found the two vehicles.

Investigators determined the driver of a Kia Soul was headed southbound on Buford Highway when they hit the bridge wall, flipped and fell into the traffic below, according to a preliminary report. That’s when the Kia was struck by a Chrysler 300 traveling on I-75.

The driver of the Kia Soul died at the scene, police said. Officers haven’t released their identity.

The driver of the Chrysler 300 declined medical treatment. No one else was hurt.

Authorities didn’t release additional information but said the crash is under investigation.
