Alien spotted riding shotgun speeding car near Roswell, Georgia

An alien was spotted near Roswell on Sunday.

The extraterrestrial was riding shotgun in a car that had been stopped for speeding 84 mph, according to a report from the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

The lean figure with a large head and dark eyes sat motionless as the officer peered through the passenger window. It resembled E.T.

“Umm, the things you see during everyday patrol #ET #doesthisqualifyforHOV #IndependenceDay,” the Alpharetta Department of Safety later posted online along with pictures of the life-size doll.

It was unclear where the traffic stop occurred, but the AJC reported the driver got off with only a warning.

The comical incident comes just days before the 70th anniversary of the incident in Roswell, New Mexico, an event in which many speculated that wreckage found at a ranch was a crashed flying saucer.
