McDaniel scheduled to appear before magistrate
Stephen Mark McDaniel is scheduled to appear in Bibb County Magistrate Court Wednesday afternoon for his first appearance before a judge on seven counts of sexual exploitation of children.
The new arrest warrants were served Tuesday.
At the 1:30 p.m. hearing, it’s expected that a judge will inform McDaniel of the new charges and inform him of his rights.
McDaniel, 25, is being held at the Bibb County jail on a murder charge and two counts of burglary. He is accused of killing Lauren Giddings, his 27-year-old Mercer University law school classmate and next door neighbor, and of stealing condoms from two of his neighbors’ apartments.
