Warner Robins attorney G.E. "Bo" Adams announced Monday his intentions to run for a Houston County Superior Court judgeship.

Adams, who serves as Warner Robins Municipal Court judge, made the announcement via a news release. He is seeking the post expected to be vacated by longterm Superior Court Judge George Nunn.

"First, I want to state my appreciation for Judge Nunn and his years of service to our community on the bench," Adams said in the release. "As a lawyer, I have served my clients by being their advocate, but to serve as Superior Court judge will allow me the opportunity to serve the community at large by applying the law to secure justice."

Adams noted his experience, including serving as an associate judge for Magistrate Court and as judge pro tempore of the Houston County State Court and Juvenile Court.

He also has 20 years of legal and trial experience as an attorney.

"This experience has prepared me to serve as Superior Court judge," Adams said via the release. "I believe I have demonstrated the proper temperament and disposition for the job."

Qualifying is from 9 a.m. March 7 to noon March 11.
