The Bibb County Sheriff's Office is warning motorists of traffic delays around the Macon Coliseum between 4 and 10 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, due to a campaign rally for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.
Drivers are urged to avoid roadways around the Macon Coliseum if they are not attending the event. Ticketholders should be prepared for traffic delays in and out of the event, according to a news release.
Tickets, which are free, are available here. Parking is $5.
Those entering the event will be subject to metal detector screenings and bag checks. No weapons are permitted.
In additional, deputies will be outside the Macon Coliseum for the protection of attendees and any protestors.
"All attendees are reminded to obey the law while making their views heard," the release states.
Bibb County Sheriff David Davis said, "All the sheriff’s office wants is for everyone to remain safe and to be as inconvenienced as little as possible.”
