It’s Election Day, Middle Georgia. What to know before hitting the polls
Polls open at 7 a.m. today for Middle Georgia residents to vote in the state’s primary elections.
Bibb County voters will select various Macon Water Authority and Board of Education positions. Houston County also will choose Board of Education leadership positions and answer whether a new sales tax should be imposed.
The polls will close at 7 p.m.
Voters across the state will have their say for two justice seats on the Supreme Court of Georgia and two seats on the Court of Appeals.
Democratic and Republican nominees also are on the ballot for statewide offices like U.S. Senate, Governor, Secretary of State and Attorney General.
Voters can access their sample ballots on the Secretary of State’s website at www.mvp.sos.ga.gov to prepare for the voting booth. The site also provides information on your assigned voting location.
