One Georgia official has been paying very close attention to the polls on Tuesday. And what has he found?

Georgia’s election day has been “wonderfully, stupendously boring.”

Gabriel Sterling, chief operating officer for Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, shared his assessment of the day with a television reporter and retweeted the comment Tuesday afternoon.

Sterling found the election was running smooth enough for him to take a quick “mental break” and watch highlights of the Georgia Bulldogs defeat over Tennessee last Saturday. Voter turnout may have been low Tuesday because millions of Georgians took advantage of early voting in this election.

One thing that added to Sterling’s overall impression of the day was the reported wait times he received. “The longest line in Georgia right now stands at 10 minutes and it is in Union County,” he tweeted.
