Telegraph Q&A: Bibb County Sheriff candidates discuss their policies and plans

Election Day is less than a week away, and two candidates will be on the ballot for the Bibb County Sheriff’s race.

David Davis, the Democratic incumbent in the race, is running for his third term as Sheriff of Bibb County. He won the seat initially in November 2012 after a long career with the Sheriff’s Office which he started in December 1979, according to the Sheriff’s Office website.

J. T. Ricketson, the Republican candidate, announced he would run for the Bibb County Sheriff seat after he retired from his 36 year career with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. Ricketson ran the GBI’s Perry office that investigated crimes in Ben Hill, Bibb, Crawford, Dooly, Houston, Irwin, Peach, Turner, Twiggs and Wilcox counties, according to a Telegraph article.
