Ellis running for Bibb County tax commissioner

Former Macon Mayor Jack Ellis made it official Friday by signing up to run for Bibb County tax commissioner before the noon deadline.

Ellis said by phone that he had considered running for mayor again and Bibb County sheriff.

Now, he will challenge Wade McCord, who has been the interim tax commissioner since late last summer when Tommy Tedders retired.
