Donald Trump is holding a rally in Macon to discuss living costs, inflation. What we know
Former President Donald Trump will be in Macon Sunday for a rally at Atrium Health Amphitheater.
The rally, which is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., comes just two days before Election Day. In the final days on the campaign trail, both Democrats and Republicans have focused heavily on Georgia, which polls show in a dead heat. Just last week, Trump visited Middle Georgia to host a town hall aimed at Christian voters.
According to an email from the Trump campaign, the rally will focus on living costs and inflation, which have been major talking points throughout the election.
“Georgians are suffering under Kamala Harris, and that’s why they’ll turn out on Nov. 5 to re-elect President Trump and Make America Great Again,” the Trump campaign wrote in an email about the rally. “Kamala Harris broke Georgia, but President Trump will fix it.”
A September survey by the Pew Research Center showed that nearly three quarters of Americans are concerned about the cost of food and consumer goods. The survey showed concerns over housing costs have also grown over the last year.
General admission tickets to the rally are available online. Doors open at 2 p.m. with Trump speaking at 6:30 p.m.
