A lucky poker player won a jackpot so big at a Las Vegas casino it was considered “such a blessing.”

The gambler sat at a Pai Gow poker table at South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa, the casino said in an Aug. 11 Facebook post.

The player ended up with a seven-card straight flush, scoring the $442,269 jackpot prize.

The guest’s winning cards were a 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8 and a joker acting as a 6, all in clubs, according to the casino.

A straight flush is one of the rarest hands in the game, after a royal flush, according to Upswing Poker.

To get a straight flush, a player needs to get cards in consecutive order and in the same suit.

“That’s such a blessing,” one person commented on Facebook.

South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa is about an 8-mile drive south from the Las Vegas Strip.

Many people can gamble or play games of chance without harm. However, for some, gambling is an addiction that can ruin lives and families.

If you or a loved one shows signs of gambling addiction, you can seek help by calling the national gambling hotline at 1-800-522-4700 or visiting the National Council on Problem Gambling website.
