Lottery player beats 1-in-15.5 million odds to win life-changing prize in NC
A North Carolina lottery player won a jackpot prize worth $1.16 million, beating unlikely odds.
The winning $2 Wheel of Bonuses ticket was bought July 18 in Greensboro, the North Carolina Education Lottery said in a July 19 news release.
The lucky player who beat the odds of 1-in-15.5 million for the Epic jackpot now has 180 days to claim the prize, lottery officials said.
After that digital instant win, the game’s jackpot reset to $50,000, according to lottery officials. As of July 21, it was worth more than $90,000, according to the game’s web page.
Greensboro is about a 75-mile drive northwest from Raleigh.
