Two lottery players won big in Maryland and will split the prize, officials said.

The lucky winners hit a jackpot worth $1.8 million in the June 30 Multi-Match drawing, the Maryland Lottery said in a July 1 news release.

The winning numbers were 4, 13, 14, 20, 25 and 31, according to lottery officials.

One ticket was sold at a Food Lion store in Ocean City and the other came from a Giant grocery store in Silver Spring, the lottery said.

This is the third Multi-Match jackpot of this year, lottery officials said, adding that the winners have approximately six months after the drawing date to claim their prize.

The odds of winning the jackpot per $2 ticket are 1 in 2,032,151.7, according to the game’s web page.

Drawings are held Monday and Thursday nights, and the jackpot increases from $500,000 with each drawing without a winner, lottery officials said.

Many people can gamble or play games of chance without harm. However, for some, gambling is an addiction that can ruin lives and families.

If you or a loved one shows signs of gambling addiction, you can seek help by calling the national gambling hotline at 1-800-522-4700 or visiting the National Council on Problem Gambling website.
