Whataburger fans are celebrating the return of a beloved milkshake.

After two years, the banana pudding milkshake is back on menus for a limited time at participating restaurants nationwide, according to the Texas-based burger chain.

The hand-spun treat, made with a vanilla shake base blended with banana pudding flavor, arrived in restaurants in early April and is available through summer 2025, a brand spokesperson told McClatchy News.

Pricing information wasn’t immediately available.

This marks its first comeback since the banana pudding shake was last offered in June 2023.

“This sweet treat pays homage to a cherished comfort food classic while offering Whataburger’s fresh and invigorating twist,” Rich Scheffler, executive vice president and chief marketing officer for Whataburger, said at the time.

News of the milkshake’s return drew a flurry of reactions online.

The dessert is the latest favorite to rejoin Whataburger’s menu as the chain celebrates 75 years in business.

The mushroom Swiss burger made its way back to restaurants after a three-year break and is available through Monday, June 2, the chain said.

Customers can find the banana pudding milkshake and mushroom Swiss burger in-store, at the drive-thru and on the Whataburger mobile app.
