Man looking for ex shoots up her mom’s home, kills her 25-year-old sister, HI cops say
UPDATE: Isaiah Kaleo Jiaan Fourshey died March 4 after an officer-involved shooting, police said.
The shooting happened at about 6 p.m. Hawaii time near a campground within Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park, the Hawaii Police Department said in a March 5 post on Facebook. Fourshey was taken to a hospital, where he died a couple of hours later, police said.
No officers, park rangers or bystanders were hurt, according to police.
A critical incident review is underway per standard practice, and federal agents are investigating since the incident happened in a national park, police said.

A 28-year-old man is accused of kicking in the front door of his ex-girlfriend’s sister and killing her as he hunted for his ex in Hawaii, police said.
Isaiah Kaleo Jiaan Fourshey, of Mountain View, is on the run and “should be considered armed and dangerous,” the Hawaii Police Department said March 4 on Facebook.
Fourshey also is accused of firing shots at the home of his ex’s mother before heading to the sister’s home, police said. No injuries were reported in that shooting.
The mom called police at about midnight March 4 to say Fourshey “had come to her residence looking for her daughter,” according to police.
“After being informed that the ex-girlfriend was not there, Fourshey reportedly pulled out a handgun and shot at the caller’s husband multiple times,” police said, adding that “the man was not struck by the bullets and Fourshey left the area prior to police arrival.”
As officers investigated, another call came in – from the ex, police said.
She said she was at her sister’s home and “she reported that Fourshey had come to the residence, kicked in the front door, and shot at her and her sister multiple times, striking her sister,” according to police. The 25-year-old sister, Latisha Soares, was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said.
Officers are asking anyone with information to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
Mountain View is a community on the east side of the island of Hawaii.
