Three lottery players win big during lucky weekend in NC. Where were tickets sold?
Three lottery players scored huge prizes during a lucky weekend in North Carolina.
Each of the players is set to get richer after buying a lottery ticket worth more than $100,000, the N.C. Education Lottery wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter. Here’s where the lucky tickets came from:
- $110,000 Carolina Cash 5 game ticket sold at a Circle K in Charlotte
- $160,691 Carolina Cash 5 game ticket sold at Yemen Food Mart in Rocky Mount
- $150,000 Big Crush Multiplier game ticket sold online to a player in Clayton
The $110,000 Cash 5 winner hit the jackpot in the Dec. 8 drawing, two days after the game’s other winner scored an even bigger prize. To win, a player’s ticket must match all numbers picked in a drawing, rules show. Here are the winning numbers from over the weekend:
- Dec. 8 drawing: 2-4-9-12-32
- Dec. 6 drawing: 7-10-22-38-42
Big Crush Multiplier, another jackpot game, is only available to play online. On Dec. 6, that game’s winner matched enough digital symbols to score the top prize.
As of Dec. 9, the Big Crush Multiplier winner was in the process of cashing in on their prize, a lottery spokesperson told McClatchy News via email. Though the Cash 5 prizes hadn’t been claimed, those winners have about six months to come forward.
