Need to hide from the world? ‘Secluded’ estate for sale in Louisiana is just the place
A one-of-a-kind estate has landed on the real estate market in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for $2.5 million. And while there are many fascinating facts and features about the property, the biggie is that it is owned by artist and sculptor Rigsby Frederick.
The property is made up of three different structures: the primary house, art studio and the Palmetto house.
“Want to own a part of Baton Rouge history in a secluded hideaway? World Renowned eccentric sculptor’s finest and most challenging ‘Work of Art’ is on the market!” the listing on Latter & Blum and Compass says.
“This birding paradise and wildlife sanctuary is all about the views. There are views from every room in the home bringing the outside inside. The artist shaped and molded nature’s strongest materials to create an unbelievable Masterpiece. Set on a charming hillside, the home is situated to take advantage of the beauty and surrounding nature.”
According to the listing, the three buildings were “custom built with inspiration and purpose.”
Frederick himself is a native Louisianan who uses nature, ethnicity and primitive cultures as a source of inspiration that reflects in his art.
“Rigsby believes that sculpture is not just to look at, but to live inside of and that is reflected throughout the Casa del las Palomas property and home at 16056 Highland Bluff Ct in Baton Rouge, LA,” a news release about the estate says.
