Castle for sale in Louisiana is so confusing some were ‘certain that was CGI.’ See it
A castle for sale might not look real — especially in a photo that shows the 1,318-square-foot residence against a twilight sky spotted with pink clouds.
But it’s real. And it’s on the real estate market in New Orleans, Louisiana, for a cool $500,000.
And yet, some people on a social media account would beg to differ.
While the listing doesn’t go into much detail, the pictures do.
“Two properties for the price of one. You get a two-bed, one-bath camp on the water as well as a one of a kind castle on the water,” the listing on Realtor.com says. “Could do well for weekly summer rentals.”
Outside, the home looks a little out of place on the water, while inside? That’s a completely different story, according to the photos. In the kitchen area, items sit cluttered against a stairwell, consisting of a painted pony, skeletons and an orange suitcase. There’s also a royal crimson throne guarded by two knight statues.
One passageway has a stone design.
The home might be a dream come true for some folks, but people on Friday Night Zillow — an X segment run by Bloomberg reporter Steven Dennis — are being thrown for a loop.
“I’m sorry, but that’s not real. Gotta be a screenshot from Shrek or something,” one person said on X (formally known as Twitter.)
“It’s a classic! 100% not worth that much but it’s very cool,” another said.
“Where’s Fiona and Shrek? Do they come with it?” someone joked.
“Wow. I was certain that was CGI,” one person commented.
