Police chase horseback rider ‘galloping through traffic’ while intoxicated, CA cops say

A person accused of riding a horse while intoxicated led Whittier police on a chase while “galloping through traffic,” California cops reported.

The incident took place Friday afternoon, Oct. 14, Whittier police said on Instagram.

“An intoxicated person on a horse, galloping through traffic... refusing to pull the horse over....that was our afternoon,” police wrote.

The person was eventually arrested, according to police.

“The horse was brought to our station, where it received lots of (love) from our team,” the Instagram post read.

Police did not specify where the incident took place.

Whittier is a city of 87,000 people about 20 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles.
