If you happen to take an evening stroll past Aubrey and Dave Appel’s house this fall, don’t look up.

A realistic decoration of a girl floating above the home, inspired by the widely-popular Netflix series “Stranger Things,” has gone viral on TikTok and even bewildered the Chicago couple’s neighbors.

“Our neighbors who haven’t seen the show think we are just ‘levitating our daughter,’” the couple, known as @horrorprops on TikTok, joked.

The Appels are major horror aficionados and love the Netflix series ”Stranger Things,” they told NBC News, so it was easy to conjure up an idea for Halloween decorations this year.

The levitating model is made to look like the character Max from “Stranger Things,” who levitates during the latest season of the show after being possessed by a villain character called Vecna.

The couple took time to create more intricate decorations during the pandemic and call themselves “Home Haunters,” people who go all-out for Halloween, NBC reported.

Their efforts haven’t gone unnoticed — even the official TikTok accounts for Netflix and ”Stranger Things” commented on the Appels’ decorations, which will continue to crop up in their yard as October 31 inches closer.

“I wanna know how many calls the police (have) gotten about this,” one person commented on the video, which has over 13 million views.

“I’m sitting here trying to figure out how this is done,” another commented. “Awesome decoration.”

The duo haven’t revealed their secret to keeping the Max model suspended, but they told NBC the mystery is part of the fun.
