It’s nicknamed The Star House because its “star-shaped skylight and wall-to-wall windows wash a cantilevered living room in cascading natural light and majestic views,” the listing on Realtor.com details.
The four-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom residence was designed by Charles Haertling, a famous architect whose works in The Centennial State were, at times, considered “weird” to some according to his son, Joel Haertling.
“His architecture and designs are not weird,” Haertling told TravelBoulder.com, setting the record straight. “They’re aesthetically coherent.”
Aesthetically coherent is the perfect way to describe the picturesque, 4,154-square-foot Star House. Haertling’s designs were said to have followed mathematical and nature-inspired themes, both of which seem to reflect in this particular home – especially when it comes to the “pointed glass protrusion” of the living room window, Realtor.com notes.
“When you walk out to the point where the glass juts out, it is really cool,” listing agent Tim Goodacre told Realtor.com. “It’s cantilevered out over the hillside, and the view is just fantastic.”
