Jack-in-the-Box workers recognize masked robber as ex-employee, California cops say
A 32-year-old man in a skull mask trying to rob a Jack-in-the-Box with a knife seemed oddly familiar to employees, California police said.
Then they recognized him as a former co-worker, Redding police said in a news release.
Andrew Harrington, of Cottonwood, left the restaurant after his ex-colleagues refused to hand over any cash in the 2 p.m. robbery Sunday, April 24, police wrote.
Police found Harrington nearby wearing different clothing, but a search turned up the clothes he wore to the restaurant and the knife, the release said.
He faces a charge of attempted robbery, police said.
