Mark Wahlberg lists California mansion for $87 million. Even comes with a golf course
Who knew that Boston-born Mark Wahlberg — he of Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch fame (and a zillion movies) — would have one of the most elaborate mega mansions on the Los Angeles real estate market?
Well, he does, and it’s now listed for $87.5 million.
Sure, the exterior may look a little on the “Bridgerton” side (even with its five-hole golf course) but the inside is an entire world of its own.
The 12-bedroom, 20-bathroom show-stopping property is all of 30,500 square feet and sits on 6.14 acres in the lavish Beverly Park, a community where some of Hollywood’s most elite rub elbows. According to Dirt, “The Departed” actor custom-built the home along with his wife, Rhea Durham.
Insanely chic features of the home include:
Two-story entryway
Two-story library
Theater
Full gym
Wine cellar
Tennis court
Resort-like pool
Skate park
Guest house
Fans of the popular Facebook page Zillow Gone Wild were even awe-struck by the sheer size of the mansion.
“I don’t know how you’d ever find your kids or pets in this house,” one person observed.
“This house doesn’t seem like something I’d expect him to live in,” another said.
“That house will fit the WHOLE Funky Bunch I bet!” someone joked.
“This is one of the nicest celebrity homes I’ve seen! I like everything about it!” one person gushed.
“Gorgeous, does he come with the house? Asking for a friend,” another joked.
After making a name for himself as a rapper and model in the 1980s, Wahlberg turned to acting in the ‘90s and starred in hits like “Renaissance Man,” “The Basketball Diaries” and “Boogie Nights.” He’s also produced some highly successful television shows including “Boardwalk Empire,” “In Treatment” and “Entourage”.
