Women ‘ram witnesses’ with car after attacking gas station clerk, Oregon cops say

Two women are accused of attacking a Portland, Oregon, gas station worker and trying to “ram witnesses” with a car, authorities said.

The women entered the 76 gas station around 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 14. One woman began assaulting the clerk while the other, who she referred to as her mother, “assisted” in the attack, Oregon Crime Stoppers said in a news release.

She was very intoxicated, I couldn’t understand what she was saying. She was slurring her words, I couldn’t find out what pump she was on,” the clerk told WWLP.

The clerk asked the woman to leave and she became violent, the outlet reported.

“Somehow I ended up on the floor — she was trying to kick me while I was down on the ground — and the other guy I was working with was blocking her from attacking me,” she told WWLP, but customers stepped in to help and forced the women out of the store.

But the women wouldn’t leave quietly, store video shows. Instead of driving away, they climbed into their Dodge Caliber and tried to run over customers outside the store.

The driver makes three passes, speeding into the bystanders and store “causing injury” and “damage to the business,” Crime Stoppers said.

At least two people were hit by the car, the clerk told WWLP.

The driver finally gives up after the third attempt when she runs into a gas pump, video shows.

The black Dodge Caliber had no license plates.

Oregon Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,500 reward for information regarding this incident. Anyone with information is encouraged to reach out and can do so anonymously online.

The Portland Police Bureau is assisting with the investigation.
