Cows are launched into a liquor store from an overturned semi, video shows
A viral video captured the moment when an overturned semi launched several cows into the wall of a liquor store in Nebraska, according to local media.
The video was captured by a security camera outside Joe Lichty’s Lucky Joe’s Liquor in Neligh last week, ABC 8 reported. The semi was carrying 31 cows when the accident happened, according to News Channel Nebraska.
The video shows the driver losing control of the semi at the intersection of Highway 275 and 2nd St., Siouxland News reported. The roof of the semi burst open, flinging the cows into the side of the building, with one of the cows hitting an ice machine, according to News Channel Nebraska.
Neligh Police said the driver sustained minor injuries, three cows died at the scene and four had to be put down because of their injuries, ABC 8 reported. The store wasn’t damaged, other than the ice machine, according to Siouxland News.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, ABC 8 reported.
