Watch as bus carrying fraternity members bursts into flames on Mississippi highway

A bus carrying fraternity members from the University of Alabama caught fire on the side of a Mississippi highway Sunday.

Video shows students looking on as the bus burns, moving further away when something explodes in the fire. The blaze completely destroyed the charter bus.

The bus ran over something in the road that caused the fire, first responders told WDAM.

The bus was carrying members from the Sigma Chi fraternity from New Orleans back to their university in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, on Interstate 59, according to WBMA.

The bus was near Hattiesburg, Mississippi, when it was destroyed by the fire, WBMA reports.
