‘Rip her eyes out.’ Texas man hires ‘hitman’ at BBQ joint to murder ex, cops say
A Texas man is accused of hiring a “hitman” to murder his ex-girlfriend for $10,000, media outlets report.
Teodoro Torres III was in the Bexar County jail when he met an inmate that he later hired to kill his ex-girlfriend, KSAT reported. After Torres paid him, the man called the ex-girlfriend and told her of the plot after getting “cold feet,” the San Antonio TV station reported.
During an interview with investigators, the man called Torres with police officers listening in on the conversation. Torres confirmed during the phone call that he still wanted his ex-girlfriend killed, KSAT reported.
A couple of days later, an undercover cop posing as a “hitman” met with Torres at a barbecue restaurant, KENS reported. Torres told the cop that he wanted him to “rip her eyes out” when he murdered his ex-girlfriend, the San Antonio TV station reported.
That’s when police arrested Torres and questioned him, KENS reported.
Torres told police that he was upset his ex-girlfriend wouldn’t let him see their 5-year-old son, the San Antonio Express-News reported. He said that when he sent letters to his child, her new boyfriend returned them with “expletives on the envelopes,” the newspaper reporter.
Torres was charged with solicitation of capital murder, according to the San Antonio Express-News.
