A lottery ticket purchased in Unadilla won $200,000 from Wednesday’s Powerball drawing, according to a news release from the Georgia Lottery.

The ticket was purchased at Flint River Grocery off Pine Street and matched four of the five numbers drawn. Because the ticket holder selected the Power Play option, the winnings were quadrupled from $50,000, the release said.

Other ticket holders in Georgia also took home big winnings. Another ticket purchased at a Quiktrip in Cumming won $50,000 from the Powerball drawing.

Another person in Moultrie purchased a ticket for the 50X The Money scratcher at a Murphy Oil and won a top prize for $1 million, according to the release.

A ticket holder in Fayetteville who purchased a Georgia FIVE ticket at a Publix also won a $10,000 top prize. Four more people from around the state won a total of nearly $788,000 playing Diggi Games on the Georgia Lottery mobile app, the release said.

The Powerball jackpot soared to $1.5 billion this week, the fifth largest in the game’s history. The release said the next drawing will be on Dec. 20.
