A lottery player who purchased their ticket in Macon won $50,000 Wednesday, according to a press release from the Georgia Lottery.

The ticket was purchased at 20’s Pubs & Subs off Riverside Drive. Five other players in Augusta, Pinehurst, Leesburg, Dalton and Atlanta also won $50,000, the release said.

A ticket sold to a Columbus resident through a mobile app matched four of the five chosen numbers and the Powerball number. The ticket holder participated in the Power Play option, which doubled their winnings to $100,000.

The win comes as the Powerball jackpot climbs to $1.7 billion, the third largest in U.S. history. The winning numbers were 03-16-29-61-69. The Powerball winning number was 22 and the Power Play multiplier was 2X.

The next Powerball drawing is scheduled for Sept. 6 and will have an estimated jackpot of $1.7 billion.
