How to claim your prize
Georgia lottery claim centers and district offices are open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Pro tip: After you have purchased your lottery ticket, always sign and print your name on the back of the ticket. This helps cut down on fraud and lets everyone know you are the rightful owner of the ticket.
Prizes $600 or less can be claimed at any place where Georgia lottery tickets are sold; however, be mindful that some retailers may not carry bigger bills, so a combination of cash and a money order may be given to you.
To claim a prize above $600, you must go to a Georgia Lottery Headquarters in Atlanta or your local district office. The claims can also be mailed into the Atlanta Headquarters with a copy of your ID and a claims form.
If you have purchased your winning ticket from the Georgia lottery website or mobile app, the winnings (up to and including $600) will be paid to your account; if you won anything over $600, you will receive an email with instructions on how to make a claim.
Prizes expire, so don’t wait too long
Online winning tickets have an expiration of 180 days from the drawing date to claim a prize.
Likewise, instant tickets also have an expiration; instant ticket winners have 90 days from the drawing date to claim their prize.
