The way the holiday season falls on the calender in the coming weeks has prompted more shakeup than usual on Macon-Bibb County meetings.

The County Commission has approved the cancellation of several meetings over the next few weeks.

A Dec. 5 meeting will not be held because there will not be enough commissioners there to have a quorum. Some of the county leaders will be in Washington, D.C., at that time for a conference.

Also, meetings scheduled for Dec. 26 and Jan. 2 were also canceled. County offices will also be closed on both of those days in celebration of the Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays.
