Input sought on 20-year Macon-Bibb plan
A public hearing will be held in November on the latest update to the Macon-Bibb County Comprehensive Plan.
The Macon-Bibb County Planning and Zoning Commission is hosting the meeting 5:30-7 p.m. Nov. 29 at the Macon-Bibb County Government Center, 700 Poplar Street. The plan outlines transportation, economic, housing and other goals over a 20 year period.
The public’s involvement in the plan is important, said Jim Thomas, executive director of the Planning and Zoning Commission.
“Your input is valuable to the future growth of Macon-Bibb County,” he said in a news release.

A Planning and Zoning committee also recently updated its Long Range Transportation List that includes an estimated $880 million in projects in the Macon metropolitan area.
