Houston County teacher among choices for governor’s committee

Northside Elementary School teacher Stacy Brown has been selected to serve on Gov. Nathan Deal’s Teacher Advisory Committee. This committee will review recommendations from the 2015 Education Reform Commission to provide feedback and guidance to Deal and legislators. The committee is chaired by Rep. Amy Carter, a teacher from Lowndes County, and includes 90 educators from throughout the state.

Three other Middle Georgia teachers also were previously announced as members of the committee: Rutland High School’s Brian Butler, the Academy for Classical Education’s Melia Scott and Monroe County Middle School’s Jessica Price.
