Middle Georgia State faculty member honored by governor

Emmie Cochran-Jackson, assistant professor Psychology at Middle Georgia State University, was selected as a 2016 Governor’s Teaching Fellow. As one of 15 faculty members from institutions, Cochran-Jackson was selected after a highly competitive application and selection process.

The Governor's Teaching Fellows Program was established in 1995 by then-Gov. Zell Miller to provide Georgia's higher education faculty with expanded opportunities for developing important teaching skills. The Governor’s Teaching Fellows Program is an outreach of the Institute of Higher Education at the University of Georgia.
