Bonaire Middle School seventh-grader Rebecca Kenny became a two-time Houston County Spelling Bee winner on Friday.

By spelling the words "sukiyaki" -- a Japanese dish generally served in the winter -- and "lunatic," Kenny took home the 2016 trophy ahead of Warner Robins Middle School seventh-grader Haley Strickland. Kenny also won the school system's spelling bee in 2014.

Both students will compete in the District 6 Spelling Bee at Fort Valley State on Feb. 27 at 10 a.m. The winner and runner-up from that event will proceed to the state bee in Atlanta on March 18.
