Funeral set for former Bibb Superintendent Sharon Patterson

Funeral plans have been set for former Bibb County school Superintendent Sharon Patterson.

Services for Patterson, who died Tuesday at age 71, will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Vineville United Methodist Church, located at 2045 Vineville Ave. Hart's Mortuary at the Cupola is in charge of arrangements.

Patterson began her term as superintendent in 2000 after serving on an interim basis for about a year. She held the post for a decade.
