Kay Road teacher chosen as Peach County's top educator

Teletta Marable has been named the Peach County school district's teacher of the year.

In her 11th year of teaching and ninth year in Peach County, Marable is a teacher at Kay Road Elementary School.

"My personal feelings and beliefs about teaching are that all children are capable of learning with the proper materials and resources," Marable said in a news release from the district.

She is married to Ulysses Marable III and has three children -- Kimirah, Taleyah and Ulysses IV.

A graduate of Peach County High School, Marable will be eligible for consideration for the state's Teacher of the Year honor.
