Houston County High employee data posted to Twitter in hacking incident

A computer hacking incident at Houston County High School allowed employee information to be released to the public on Friday.

One computer was breached in the incident, and "potentially private employee information" was posted to a Twitter account, according to an email from Beth McLaughlin, director of communications for Houston County schools.

"The district worked quickly to remove the post and employees were notified of the incident," McLaughlin said in the email.

She said some of the information looked "scrambled" in the post, but the incident is under investigation by law enforcement.
