School speed zone cams still active in summer in Macon, Warner Robins. Here’s when
Summer break is here, but automatic school zone speeding cameras that issue tickets will still be used in Macon and Warner Robins, at least for part of the summer.
The speed enforcement cameras will be active during summer school and safety camps from June to July.

Warner Robins
Automatic speed detection cameras will only be active for summer school on weekday mornings, according to the Warner Robins Police Department.
The only school impacted by this is Northside High School at 926 Green Street.
The system aims to reduce speeds “in areas with high foot traffic and near educational institutions,” the police department said.
Drivers will be ticketed for going 11 mph or more over the posted speed limit starting June 9. It was unclear when the enforcement would end.
Officers did not respond to The Telegraph’s request for comment before publication.
