Central Georgia Tech offers free GED practice tests

Central Georgia Technical College is offering free GED practice tests now through Oct. 3 in its 12-county service area.

Anyone interested in taking the practice test, which typically costs $6 per section, should visit their local Central Georgia Tech branch to register for the See for Free GED test promotion. The test is available to students and non-students.

“Students who take the practice test will be able to develop a personal study guide that will help them better prepare for the GED test,” Dorothy Ferguson, Central Georgia Tech director for Operations for Adult Education-South, said in a news release. “The GED test did change in January 2014, so some students may be leery of the test. This free test gives them the opportunity to see what it’s all about and hopefully alleviate some of those fears.”

Central Georgia Tech has locations in Bibb, Baldwin, Crawford, Dooly, Houston, Jones, Macon, Monroe, Peach, Pulaski, Putnam and Twiggs counties.
