Middle Georgia State inducts first members into IT honor society
The international honor society for information technology and information systems now has a chapter at Middle Georgia State University. The school inducted its first members into Alpha Iota Mu in May.
The organization was started at Indiana State University in 1996. Georgia Southern University has the state’s only other chapter.
The spring 2017 ceremony at Middle Georgia State recognized Alex Koohang, dean of the School of Information Technology; Kevin Floyd, chairman of the school; faculty member Neil Rigole; and two alums, Skylar Hart and Heather Harper. The honor society inductees are Mark Ashurst, Jamie Hawes, Patricia Horton, James Kazmierski, Alexandra Papadopoulos, Charles Speir, James Thomason, Daniel Harper and graduate student Vaquasha Rhodes.
