Central Fine Arts Magnet School accepting applications for 2017-18 year

Central Fine Arts Magnet High School will start accepting applications Dec. 12 for the 2017-18 year. Rising ninth-graders can apply for the school’s fine arts and International Baccalaureate programs at www.bcsdk12.net.

Jan. 27 is the application deadline. Open houses will be hosted at the school at 6 p.m. Dec. 12 and 9:30 a.m. Jan. 14.

Students are chosen based on their interviews, auditions and essays. Fine arts interviews and auditions will be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 8 and International Baccalaureate essays from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 9. Parents will receive notification of their child’s status on Feb. 13 and must respond by Feb. 27.
